As Mayor Rahm Emanuel rolled out Chicago's red carpet for Louis Farrakhan, an avowed and outspoken anti-gay, anti-Semitic, anti-feminist Muslim minister, Emanuel publicly excoriated Chick-Fil-A because the company is opposed to gay marriage.
"Chick-Fil-A does not share Chicago's values," said the diminutive Sarkozy Rahm.
Ah, but Farrakhan is a paragon of Chicago's values. Heck, just watch the video below, where Minister Farrakhan tells you precisely how he feels about independent women. It's enlightening. Not to be missed. My move to Chicago won't be a minute too soon.
And the anti-gay Muslim restaurants in Chicago? They share the city's values as well. Because if they didn't, Rahm Emanuel would have already told us so. And called for a ban or a boycott. Hello!
Sure, this is the same Rahm Emanuel who vigorously campaigned for two presidents who opposed same-sex marriage. But what's your point? Go to hell. Civility. Whatever.
I'm an elitist smarter than your average bear, and I totally get it.
Anti-Jewish, anti-gay, anti-feminist Farrakhan shares Chicago's values. What's not to understand?
Put another way,
. . . what she said.
Because, though long-winded she may be, with a whopping 158 youtube views and counting, this young woman understands -- at a fundamental, gut level -- that businesses and individuals have the rights of free speech and freedom of religion in this country.
In other news, In-N-Out Burger prints the citations to Bible verses on its cups and wrappers.
Brace for impact. And bring your own barf bag.

I didn't eat much at Chick-fil-A before this. Now, I'll go out of my way to. The libtards simply do not see how incredibly and abjectly stupid and hypocritical they're being.
Or do see, and hope the media will give them cover with their dumbed-down sheeple electorate.
Though, they won't have to worry about the dead voters calling BS on Rahm & Co...
And Elizabeth, the nation called you and yours on your brand of asshole at Chick-Fil-As across the nation Wednesday.
I'm glad you stand with the occutards and unAmericans like Rahm.
I deleted my comments from this post because I realized that they were not only ineffective but didn't really express my response to your post, Lawyer Mom.
As the mother of a severely disabled child and the friend and relative of many gay people, I hope to help protect and advance their rights, not just as Americans, but as human beings. I know that I can't sway the minds of all -- or even a few -- but I can certainly support those who do. I agree that the hypocrisy of those you've highlighted here is absurd, but the underlying issue -- which I'm hoping you have some interest in -- is that bigotry toward anyone, based on race or sex or sexuality is something to fight against, and that those who exult in or defend that bigotry are either ignorant at best or damaged in some dark way at worst.
As for Skunkfeathers -- I have no idea why you are so vicious in your personal attacks -- I've read your blog and know that you have deep respect for certain people and are capable of reasonable argument. I'm no more or less American than you, I imagine, struggling to make a good life for my family, understand, give back, be kind, do good, tolerate and learn. Your slings and arrows and slurs do little but make me wonder what sort of life, what kind of childhood, even what kind of brain produces, lets loose so much contempt and hatred.
Well, Liz, your attack comments from some posts ago suggested you were exactly what you accuse me of being. Usually when you apply the term 'asshole' to someone, that is not something you use if you claim you don't make personal vicious attacks. I gave you the response you deserved then, and in your opening salvo here. Yeah, I can be very respectful and thoughtful to people who deserve and have earned my respect. You didn't. As for my view of libs in general, the vile, vituperative hate that emanates from them -- exemplified by that liberal who verbally assaulted the Chick-Fil-A employee, and proudly posted it on YouTube -- is why my tolerance for the intolerant Left is low.
Thanks for the defense and clarification. I'm sticking to my gut intolerance for those who use the mentally retarded to make their point. Mea culpa on that.
And apologies to Lawyer Mom for hijacking her blog with this mediocre exchange. At the very least there might be a blip in traffic. Now I'm going back to feeling sheepish for even bothering to comment.
Youra culpa doesn't fly, Liz. You may call the term 'libtard' an attack on a class of handicapped; you're free to do so. A person with a condition from birth, I don't consider 'retarded'. They have a disability. Many of which overcome it with hard work and guts.
I doubt if you were quick to defend Sarah Palin, who had such a child, when the Left was attacking her and her son.
No...when I use 'libtard', I refer it to mean someone who is capable of being smarter than they're being. The Chick-Fil-A controversy is a classic case in point. The Left jumped on the CEO's defense of traditional marriage as "anti-gay", "racist", et al. Yet...the Left loves, supports and defends openly anti-gay Louis Farrakhan...the Musilim Brotherhood...Sharia Law...all of which are not only anti-gay, but also waging more of a war on women than the Republican Party never did. You are selectively silent on that.
When someone openly supports such blatant hypocrisy, that is where my use of the term 'libtard' is applied. And, far as I'm concerned, is deserved.
You might feel less sheepish, if you take a closer look at the political philosophy you're so quick to adopt, and start challenging some of the glaring hypocrisy of it from within.
Lawyer Mom, now it's my turn to apologize for taking up space here. By all means, feel free to delete any of my comments, if you think I'm wrong. It's your page, my friend.
Your definition of what it means to be "retarded" is factually wrong and ignorant.
I don't know a single person personally who would defend Farakkan or Sharia law. And Palin being the mother of a child with Down Syndrome is irrelevant to my views of her as a political leader. I never have defended hypocrisy of any kind, knowingly, and try not to make blanket statements about liberals and conservatives. And no one who knows me would say that I'm "selectively" silent about anything. In fact, my initial comments about this post were that I agreed how absurd all the hypocrisy was flying around regarding this issue. I mentioned that while the First Amendment protects free speech, it doesn't protect us from assholes, and I'd include Farakkan and Cathey in that group.
There you go, more negative waves Liz. Your intolerance is blowing your claim of being tolerant. But you've already run that claim up on the rocks.
Libtardation is a choice that people like Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, Harry Reid, Eliot Spitzer, Anthony Weiner, Charles Rangel, Barney Frank, the nobamas, Rahm Emmanuel, Chris Matthews, Bill Mahar, Michael Moore, et al, freely made. My definition of it -- and all of the dishonesty, deceit, hypocrisy and fraud that's associated with it -- is pretty much on target. Your choice, of course. In this country, you're free to make it, and be the very hole you love to call others, Liz.
