When a young teenage girl died in a skiing accident, her parents donated her organs.
Later, her mother went on a quest to hear her daughter's heart beat again. The recipient is a mother of two young boys, whose heart started failing after her second son was born.
The story is tragic and uplifting and wonderful and sad. I'm still crying.

I watched this this morning and sobbed. I was shocked to recognize Tara - a sorority sister of mine.
When Taylor died, the local story broke my heart then, but I never saw pictures of the parents, and did not recognize the married name.
I remember Tara as a vivacious and sincere young lady who made this idiot freshman feel at home in a strange place. To watch her listen to her daughter's heart - just too much.
Beautiful. Thank you for posting that.
that is wonderful.for all concerned.
Awesome, and what a Beautiful gift!
Thank you for sharing..hope you don't mind if I share this with others!
These stories need to make national headlines--because there is still an overwhelming organ shortage. Too many folks have strange ideas about the body and which organs they need for the afterlife--sorta like the ancient Egyptians, who saved everything except the BRAIN.
On the other hand...
