Caustically blogging about politics and life.
Wasn't Carter just speaking about how he had the most successful ever POST-Presidency??
Yes. And he claims to be the most "superior" former president, ever.In his op-ed piece, he says he rode a tea-party-like wave of voter discontent to presidential victory. Then he turns around, awkwardly, and bashes the . . . tea party.
He has a point--the political center has all but disappeared. And with it, voter confidence. There are a whole lot more people like me out here--but neither party seems to care. Politics has such wild swings because the parties are so polarized.
