My hero took the podium again today to explain why New Jersey lost its "Race to the Top" bid. And why he wouldn't be firing the poor soul who included the wrong year's budget in the 1000-page government application.
The real question, Christie suggested, is why Obama's b-crat didn't just pick up the phone, call, and ask for the right budget year.
This guy is good.

A hero to some, except if you're blind: http://www.planet-of-the-blind.com/2010/05/books-for-the-blind-not-a-liberal-or-conservative-issue.html
Have you been a nasty hateful human being your whole life Elizabeth?
Christie is fantastic. He is just what the state needs. The days of free spending are over and the days of tightening the belt are in. The liberals spent their way into the toilet. They have no one to blame but themselves. If the talking book program has to go for now until the budget is under control then they are just going to have to swallow it. Living within ones means is a hard pill for liberals to swallow.
Actually, Samlam, I come here to this blog to read reasoned views that are usually antithetical to my own. I have a special interest in those with disabilities and strive always to defend and advocate for them. I'm sure there are better ways to "tighten the belt" than cutting all funds for programs such as making reading accessible for the blind. If that makes me nasty and hateful -- well, it doesn't say much. And I'm certain that you are a good and kind person underneath your rhetoric, no?
