America's Sheriff Sells Out to Socialists! Lock Your Doors!

This just in: Conservative commentators report feeling betrayed by Andy Griffith's endorsement of Obamacare.

Oh, please. A man's got to do what a man's got to do. And I hope you'll never catch me decrying capitalism. For God's sake, flog me if you do.

But what of the fact the Obama Administration spent
$700,000.00 of your and my money on his health care PR campaign? For an Andy Griffith advertisement specifically intended to sell us on the already-crammed-down, boot-on-our-throats Obamacare law?

What's up with that?

Look, I'm all for a presidential bully pulpit, namely because it doesn't cost me anything.

But this stupid ad is even worse than the millions Obama spent buying signs he hoped would say, "Funded By: American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Barack Obama, President
." It appears he settled on the less persuasive, "Putting America to Work" silliness. But still!

Hells bells. With all due respect sir, how exquisitely stupid do you think we are?

Anyway, here's O's expensive ad. At $700k, I'd say Andy made out like a bandit. How did O fare? Well, sir, if you want a snowball's chance in hell of selling us on this
nonsense, you might get yourself a new ad agency -- preferably a non-governmental one.

Doesn't Obama use donations rather than tax money for his own lobbying? Not that I'm pro-social healthcare or anything - I wanted sustainable energy, not healthcare.

Poor Andy.

A man who has obviously had a stroke might not be the best endorsement choice--unless they're going for the "see how bad it used to be" angle.

Spending 700k is a lot of money for Andy Griffith... couldn't they have gotten someone better for that kinda money?!
It reminds me of when good old Utah came up with their new slogan, "Life Elevated". It cost the tax payers $200,000. I think they could have bought a couple of dozen donuts and let a group of 5th graders come up with a slogan. Then spend the remaining $199,990 on textbooks. What a waste!

I'll have to check out the ad later. The flow chart btw is a hoot. And done by someone who knows what they are talking about.
In the meantime the Dept of health and human services keeps spending every day. This is from today:

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today will announce $159.1 million in grants to health care workforce training programs. These grants build on the multimillion dollar investments made under the Affordable Care Act and Recovery Act to strengthen and grow our primary care workforce. The grants will target three types of programs: Nursing Workforce Development programs; interdisciplinary geriatric education and training programs; and Centers of Excellence programs for underrepresented minority students.

the answer to your question "how exquisitely stupid do you think we are?" must be "very".
